Lady Stabs Lover To Death in Imo Over Yahoo Revenue

 

Officers of the Imo State Police Command apprehended a 27-year-old woman, Oluchi Nzemechi, from Uzoagba in Ikeduru Local Government Area of the state for fatally stabbing her partner, Kelechi Nzemechi.

The authorities disclosed that upon questioning, the accused admitted to the deed, acknowledging that her 31-year-old companion enticed her into online deceit, commonly known as ‘yahoo yahoo’.

She recounted a heated altercation with the deceased on Sunday due to his failure to share a portion of an alleged 250 million Rupiah they illicitly acquired from a victim in Indonesia.

Nzemechi asserted that during the altercation, she wielded a kitchen knife, inflicting a fatal wound to his upper body.

“In an effort to conceal my illicit activities, I hastily scribbled on a scrap of paper; ‘you presume to consume my funds and escape unscathed, I am revered among the associates, I shall pursue your spouse, offspring, and kin’, and I placed it upon his motionless form before fleeing the premises,” the suspect disclosed to reporters during her presentation by the authorities.

She further divulged that she had cohabited with the deceased since 2019 and shares a child with him.

The department’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Henry Okoye, confirmed that the suspect would face legal proceedings following the completion of the inquiry.
