[DEVOTIONAL] UNFORGIVING SPIRIT by Apst. Obinna Kris Chinagorom

 UNFORGIVING SPIRIT. 

Pride goeth before destruction, And an haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 16:18 KJV

Unforgiving spirit comes as a result of pride that is hidden down inside us which sometimes is  difficult to deal simply because of pretence.  The Bible said that the heart is deceitful more than anything who can tell. If you're someone that finds it difficult to forgive or ask for forgiveness watch carefully for pride. 

It's important that we ask God for help in this area because unforgiveness is the only package in salvation that you have a part to play, Jesus said if we fail to forgive others, we should also not expect forgiveness from God.

So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Matthew 18:35 KJV

Unforgiveness is dangerous because it disturbs our fellowship with God for instance, Jesus said,

Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Matthew 5:23‭-‬24 KJV

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Mark 11:25‭-‬26 KJV

Father may your grace shine upon your people in this month of July and May we receive insight to  your word, to forgive all that have offended us in any way in Jesus name Amen.
