Two Children Of A Parent Drown In Kwara State | Nigeria News Today


Two corpses of children of the same parent have been recovered by the men of Kwara State fire service from a popular River in the state known as Asa River in Ilorin the state capital. According to the state fire service, the two corpse were evacuated around "Laola Salasi Street, Mubo area of the metropolis

The name of the two deceased who left to have fun by the riverside with colleagues as usual before this unexpected incident includes Kamaldeen 14 and Damilare 12. They both drowned in the said river late Friday evening. 

The fire service spoken of the state, Hassan Adekunle has confirmed the incident that it was actually two boys who are of the same parent.  And, that it actually took place on the 31St December 2021.

He said :

"This sadden incident occurred on Friday evening around 04:36pm, when a brigade was called to the scene by one Alhaji Eleja. However, it was unlucky that the victim had already drowned completely before it was been noticed which led to the death of the victims before recovery action could take place. 

The victims are from Ile-laru comoound of Sabo-Line in Ilorin. They went to swim with their colleagues in the River before this unfortunate incident which claimed their life happened. We have also handed over their bodies to their biological father, Alhaji Jamiu. 

The Director of the sate fire service Prince Falade Olamuyiwa therefore plead everyone most especially the parents as well as teachers to keep eyes on their children most importantly duringing the leisure time to avoid this sadden incident from reoccurring in the future."
